Earlier, our uncompromising drive for excellence has gained similar recognition from the Eduniversal Business Schools Ranking for 2018, in which we were ranked No.1 in Hong Kong. The Eduniversal system rates schools according to their international reputation at a national and global level, and by geographical zone.

Headquartered in Paris, Eduniversal is a global ranking and rating agency specializing in higher education. Every year, it announces the rankings of the best 1000 business schools in 154 countries in nine geographical zones. The results are based on academic peers who have participated in its annual deans’ vote survey. (http://www.eduniversal-ranking.com/)

Recipient of Beta Gamma Sigma Highest Honor Chapter

The Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) has recognized the HKUST BGS Chapter as a Highest Honor Chapter - the highest level of recognition that a chapter can earn.

Qualifying for this highest honor is indicative of a campus where academic excellence is highly valued and where the faculty of the chapter work diligently to enhance BGS’s stature on campus.

As part of the recognition, the School has earned a Global Leadership Summit Registration Scholarship for students, which provided an exceptional opportunity for two students to join the BGS Global Leadership Summit on November 1-4. Two outstanding students Julia Leung and Tiffany Yu were nominated to join the Summit in Chicago.

“The Global Leadership Summit is a valuable learning experience to me not only because of the knowledge I have gained, but more importantly the people I have met,” said Tiffany. “Under the theme of “Ethical Leadership”, we joined a series of inspirational sharing from business and academic leaders around the globe. Most of the topics revolved around innovation and professional development.”

“With more than 300 students around the world, it was a great opportunity for us to engage with peers form other top business schools,” Julia added. “I myself have expanded myself and made friends who came from Vietnam, Thailand, Canada and the US.

BGS was founded as an honor society of AACSB International in 1913. Its mission is to uphold academic achievements in the study of business, foster personal and professional excellence, advance the values of the Society and serve its lifelong members.
